The Process Engineering Research & Development Center, formerly known as the Food Protein R&D Center, is an engineering process center administered by the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station – and is part of the Texas A&M University System. The center occupies over 22,337 square feet of very well equipped laboratories, administrative offices and pilot plants in five buildings on the Texas A&M University RELLIS campus and includes:
- Experienced and trained personnel with decades of combined experience
- Fully equipped extraction technology pilot plants available
- Fully equipped fats and oils pilot plant available
- Fully equipped Extrusion technology pilot plants available with several extruders and other related equipment
- Fully equipped membrane filtration pilot plant including pretreatment technologies, low & high pressure systems and post treatment technologies
- Water and wastewater processing available
